The Champions...

The "C" final saw the Winnipegosis Hawks down the Dauphin Kinks 6-2. Mike Sass lead the Hawks with 2 goals and an assist. Winnipegosois jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back.
Two teams from the south, the Birtle Old Puckers and the Gladstone Old Duckers clashed in the "B" final. The teams were deadlocked at 3 after one. Birtle went ahead early in the second, only to have Gladstone knot it up minutes later. With less than 3 minutes left in the game, Birtle sniper Mark Wakerly bulged the twine, giving the Old Puckers the "B" championship.
The "A" final saw the Valley Outlaws tangle with the Hudson Bay Old Bulls. The Outlaws lead 3-2 after one on goals by A. Riddell, K. Betcher, and J. Mosiondz. Pulling their goalie on a power play in the dying minutes, the Old Bulls gamble back fired when Ricky Betcher salted the win by hitting the empty net making the final score 4-2 Outlaws.

The Playoffs...

The first "C" semi-final pitted the Bowsman Burnouts against the Dauphin Kinks. In a very close game the Dauphin Kinks came out on top with a 7-5 victory. This earned the Kinks a trip to the "C" final. In the other "C" semi-final, the Winnipegosis Hawks skated to a 7-5 win over the Swan River Raiders.
The first "B" semi-final had the Big Island Bears of Flin Flon face off against the Gladstone Old Duckers. The Ducks ran rough shod over the Bears 9-4. The second "B" semi-final saw the Birtle Old Puckers ground the Kenville Flyers 13-5.
SVCU Old Tymers played host to the Hudson Bay Old Bulls in the first "A" semi-final. Falling behind 2-0 early in the first, SVCU battled back and held a 3-2 lead at the end of one. Picking up where they left off, SVCU scored two quick goals to make it 5-2. Never ones to roll over and die, the Old Bulls battled back from what seemed to be an insurmountable lead to make it 6-5 in the final minutes of the game. Pulling their goaltender, SVCU threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Hudson Bay goal, but came up short.
The second "A" semi-final had the Valley Outlaws do battle with the Flin Flon Bombers. Drinking buddies the night before, both teams had the "Edge On " come game time. Showing few effects of a weekend of "Lodging" it the Valley Outlaws outlasted the Bombers 5-3, earning them a trip to the "A" final.
