S.V.C.U. starts season going 1-1-1 in first three...

After opening the season with a hard fought 2-2 draw with Raiders, S.V.C.U. followed up with a 10-5 loss at the hands of the Valley Outlaws. Looking for their first "W" of the season, a short benched S.V.C.U. squad skated to a 10-4 win over Action Old Timers. Warren "Wheels" Gray and Craig "Zammmer" Zamzow playing 60 plus minutes on the back end, skated as if in mid season form. Veterans Dennis "Surgeon" Bowles and Barry "Shooter" Eggie were a dominant offense force. Eggie, showing his shooting expertise, deposited a nifty backhand behind a sprawling Action goaltender. Mike "Smitty" Smith, although not having one of his busier nights, played a solid game between the pipes. Things seem to heading in the right direction, next up for S.V.C.U. are the Loggers from Minitonas.
