SVCU put Loggers through the Chipper...

Showing little effects of a most demanding schedule, SVCU finished the dreaded "Four Games in Six Nights" marathon with an impressive 14-3 road victory in Minitonas Friday night. Icing  a full 15 man roster for the first time since  last springs Championship game, CU scored early and often. 30 year veteran and club patriarch Barry"Shooter" Eggie, opened the scoring with a near impossible "Bad Ass " goal line angle shot that caught Logger goal keeper Derek "Back Stop" Boychuk napping. Randy "The Touch" Mateika continues to light the lamp, scoring his second consecutive Hat Trick in as many games. Sophomore defense men "Dancing" Danton Ashcroft scored twice, including a top shelf snipe on the pinch in. Chris "Smirnoff" Zamzow also added two, and played a key role in the post game re hydration . Regaining the scoring touch that was infamous in bringing home the club's first championship in 36 years, Jeremy "OT Kid" Gray netted his second natural hat trick of the season, going Roof Daddy - Tip In - Top Shelf !

Scoring woes continue for Derek "Stone Hands" Holtom. The snake -bitten forward, who recently had a goal waved off, rang a wrister off the iron, followed by 3 consecutive knuckle pucks to the mid section of Logger net minder Derek "Back Stop" Boychuk.

Despite a relatively quiet first period, CU puck stopper Mike "Smitty" Smith made some key saves early , allowing the game to be blown wide open. The game was not without controversy, when with less than 3 minutes remaining, SVCU 's recent bad boy  Craig " Wallin" Zamzow, attempting to keep his goaltender in the game, fired a back pass from somewhere near center ice, catching the somewhat confused keeper off guard. Three years of anger management classes, and having to play with the sometimes unpredictable Zamzow for the past ten years, was summed up by , "For fucks sake Zammer, this isn't six year olds playing Christmas Shinny, get your fucken head outta yer ass! "
It was overheard in the dressing room post game , that resident Techie Whiz Rob "Blogmeister" McDonald had his best outing of the season, a healthy scratch!

  1. Guilty as charged. I guess I won't be trying to pad Smitty's assist totals again in the near future. I was confused after looking up to pass and having neither Mateika nor Holtom at the far blueline, a pass back to tender (to start the reverse) seemed like the most appropriate move. Apparently my bad luck continues.
