6-2 SVCU back on the winning track...

After a 45 minute warm up, and a first period of firing pucks at their own Mike "Smitty" Smith, who closed the door on almost all occasions, SVCU eventually came away with a 6-2 victory over the Silver Seven. Showing some remarkable hand-eye coordination , Jeff "Skinny" Knight tic- tacked a mid-air strike past a stunned Silver Seven goal keeper. Making his New Year debut Aaron "Trapper" Goethe skating along with Knight and Barry "Shooter" Egggie, provided some much need hustle to the SVCU line up. Feeling the strain of three games in four nights, SVCU's timing and intensity was lacking at times. However the veteran leadership of the SVCU blue line, righted the ship in the final frame. Smitty ,back in his familiar cage, closed the door on any Silver Seven come back bid. SVCU's final contest this week is a Friday night road trip to Minitonas to take on the SVRSS High School.
